Tension wire

Tension wire

Tension wire is widely used in the installation of all types of razor wire security barriers – concertina barrier, flat barrier, razor mesh and others. The tension wire helps the razor wire barriers to keep in shape, increases their strength and extends their useful life. The wire is pulled between the holders or posts of the fence, and then various types of razor wire barriers are attached to it using special clips and knitting wire.

A low-carbon wire is usually used as a tension wire, but a high-carbon steel wire is also suitable for this purpose, which has better characteristics compared to a low-carbon wire. When installing the most critical types of barriers, Egoza-Kayman barbed wire or other types of razor wire can be used as a tension wire.

For the installation of razor wire security barriers, we use a low-carbon tension wire with a diameter of 2.5 and 3.0 mm or a high-carbon wire with a diameter of 2.2 and 3.0 mm. The choice of the type of tension wire depends on the object on which the barbed wire is being installed, the type of razor wire barriers and other factors.
